Work with Lyt
GuidesLyt keeps your knowledge in markdown and git, then gives you a local pod of vaults that people and AI agents can use together.
Start with the model
Three words cover it: a vault is a folder of notes, a mesh is a group of vaults, and your pod is everything you can reach.
- Vault — a single editor-neutral Markdown repository with stable identity.
- Mesh — a named declared home, edges, subscriptions, and destination policy.
- Pod — your whole bundle of reachable vaults and meshes, projected locally on each machine.
Build the first useful loop
- Install — install the unified CLI.
- Quickstart — create a pod, capture a note, and search it.
- Adopt an existing vault — add Lyt without moving your notes.
Continue with your setup
- Use Lyt on multiple machines — reconstruct your pod on another computer.
- Share a vault — grant a GitHub collaborator access.
- Connect an agent — run the local MCP server over stdio.
- Repair and recover — diagnose drift before applying a repair.
